Hey guys! I’m back!
It’s like 2 AM and I should be sleeping now, but I wanted to post about my most recent things… I received a few of my subscription boxes in the past week so I’ll just post them all here!
First here is my Ipsy bag
I must say, I normally don’t really like or care for the bag it comes in but I love this one! It’s a black and blue one and has a strap which is a huge plus for me!]
1. Too Faced: Hangover 3-in-1 Replenishing Prime and Setting Spray – Super excited about this! I just finished all my setting sprays so I can’t wait to try this out! If you guys have tried this out, let me know what you think!
2. Nomad Cosmetics: Multi-Perfection Duo Brow Powdering Brunetta Brillate – So this a a brow powder and I’m always looking for a new brow pencil or powder but I really think this is way too late for me. My brow hair is naturally black so these would just look odd…. still, I’ll try it out for the fomula at least..
3. Glamour Dolls: Glamour Dolls x Lisa Frank Bitten & Bronzed Matte Bronzer – Hmmm.. I immediately recognized the Lisa Frank print on the box and was like “What???” I’m not really a huge Lisa Frank fan, but I know people that are that would really appreciate this! Haha I’ve also been lookin for some new bronzer (mostly shades, I haven’t really looked too much for the brand), so I am looking forward to trying this on skin. 🙂
4. Em Cosmetics: Infinite Lip Cloud in Rose Nude – I’ve always loved color and crazy colors for makeup but I’ve really be getting into natural shades. I really look forward to this Rose Nude lipstick and trying out Em Cosmetic’s lipstick!
5. Tarte: Deluxe Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Feisty – I rarely use blush so this will be interesting for me! It looks like a decent shade, not too pink and bright for me skin tone.
No Make No Life box:
If you guys aren’t familiar with this, this is a Japanese beauty box. I love these boxes. I prefer full size products rather than samples (I feel I can really try it out and see if I like it and I feel like I get my moneys worth!).
1. Dolly Wink: Vinyl Pink color eyeliner – This is a very famous and popular brand of makeup in Japan. It’s soft and creamy also very bright.
2. Sweets Masion: Matcha bubble bath – Oh my god.. I’m so excited about this. I seriously haven’t taken bath since I was a kid and couldn’t wash myself. *lol* But I love them now after rediscovering how awesome it is and bath bombs! (I’m going to do a whole post on bath bombs soon….) Not only do I have a new bath thing to try out, but it’s green tea which is good for you! It comes in a cute champagne looking bottle too! 😀
3. Profael: Smooth hand wrap – This is a hand moisturizer that comes with cotton gloves to put over your hand to trap the moisture which you’re suppose to wear overnight. I personally would hate to wear gloves over a sticky/tacky hand. I don’t think I would be able to do that. However, I will of course still try out the actual moisturizer.
4. Rosy Rosa : Retractable lip brush – I don’t normally use lip brushes because I only really wear liquid lipsticks, but I’m actually looking forward to using this because I’ve always been about weird about lining my lips. (I always think it’s unnatural or strange looking for me.) The bristles are made from nylon.
5. L’air de Savon: Ice body milk – This is a body moisturizer that has peppermint and hazel extracts which are suppose to help cool and tighten your skin. The scent is “eternal moment” which is limited edition.
Play! By Sephora box:
I’m still not sure how I feel about Sephora’s subscription boxes. It’s supposedly one of the best beauty boxes but I rarely find things in it that I really like. I also don’t really care for fragrances and there always seems to be a fragrance sample in the box.
1. Burberry: My Burberry Blush – This is a fruity and floral scented fragrance. I find it very difficult to find scents I REALLY like… during my trip to South Korea in a few posts back, I had actually picked up 3 new fragrances despite it being hard for me to find ones I like. I’ve always just stuck with Vera Wang’s Princess. (Which is still my favorite….)
2. Moroccanoil: Moroccan oil treatment – This is an argan oil that conditions and protects your hair. I hate having oily hair period. Natural or not, so I don’t think I’ll ever use this. I also don’t have a problem of having dry hair. Mine is very silky/smooth and thin.
3. Caudalie: Vinosource S.O.S. Thirst Quenching Serum – This serum is made with grape water which helps hydration and it states for even the most sensitive skin (ME!!!). I look forward to trying this serum out.
4. Origins: Clear Improvment Active Charcoal Mask – This is a charcoal mask to clean pores. It contains white china clay and comes in a very decent size bottle for the sample. The down side? I own a bottle of this already and I hate it. Haha I was really really hoping I would like it too! I hate the smell and I just feel like I’ve used other (charcoal) masks that do the job way better than this one. It is also harder to wash off than others in my experience.
5. Sephora: Ultra Shine Lip Gel in Perfect Nude: I’ve never tried any Sephora brand makeup yet to be honest. So I’m a little curious. I’m a bit worried about the whole “lip gel” thing and like most lip products, I’m sure this will just dry out my lips and make it crack. It’s a light gel that you wear as a very light color to your lips or put it over a lipstick and help add sheen/gloss to it.
6. Marc Jacobs: Velvet noir volume mascara – I don’t often wear mascara, I just hate how clumpy and stuff they get (no matters which I use) and I also have very few and tiny/light eyelash’s to begin with so it’s hard to find something that helps it. It says that this mascara adds a lot of volume and length though.
This isn’t a subscription box, but I ordered the custom beauty kit from Tarte for only $63! You got to choose a makeup bag and one of basically every essential part of doing a full face makeup application. They had multiple options for each (different types of foundation, eyeliners, lipsticks, etc…). Here’s what I got..
1. Black makeup bag – I just had to get black…. it’s my default color. The bag is much bigger than I thought it would be!
2. Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in Captivating – It’s funny I got a sample of this Amazonian clay blush in one of my boxes. I’m glad it was different shade though! 😀 This is obviously the full sized product though. I look forward to trying both shades!
3 Amazonian clay waterproof liner pot – I chose to get the eyeliner in white. They had some really cool bold colors and it was hard for me to choose but instead of getting some crazy color because it’s different, I chose to get white because I would actually use it. My default is to put white or silver in the inner corner of my eyes. I can’t wait to try their liner out!
4. the lip architect lipstick and liner in Muse – I stated before, I’ve been interested in more natural shades lately and especially when it comes to lipstick colors. I got a more natural pink/nude shade. It seems decently creamy so I will see how this goes with my lips (in regards to drying it out horrible like everything else..).
5. Lights, camera, lashes 4-in-1 mascara – SHINY limited edition packaging. Ugh I love it. It’s exactly the same a s their lights, camera, lashes mascara but with just a vinyl packaging over it. Again, I’ll have to try out this mascara to see how I like it. I’m waiting to find THAT mascara that will make me fall in love with actually using and liking mascara. :p
6. Airbuki bamboo powder foundation brush – I actually don’t own a kabuki brush so I was intrigued to get this. It seems soft and the bristles are pretty short on this particular brush. I will give it a try sometime soon!
7. Empowered hybrid gel foundation in Medium Neutral – I can’t believe I’m getting a full size foundation in this incredibly low priced kit! Well, full size product of anything really! I’m super excited to try this foundation. I recently just finished a few of my foundations up and some were hit and miss, I wanted to try some new ones to see if there was one I really end up like. I recently played a Sephora order (from their VIB sale) and bought a few foundations too so I have plenty to choose from for a while. Haha I actually like that this comes in a pot. I was seriously thinking the other day that if I were to make any product at all, to reduce waste, I would package it in a pot. I know, it sucks that you can’t just use an easy pump or squirt out a product with minimal mess, but I always gets annoyed about how much product is left inside that you can’t get to in the end….
Anyways… That’s it for this one! I know that was a lot and maybe too long to sit and read… but I wanted to get them all out of the way!
More to come too! Haha I should also really sit down and review some products that I used up and give my real final thoughts on too…
