Sunday Funday!

Hello everyone!

It’s Sunday and today I have a company party to go to but I wanted to write a quick post before! I’m trying to get into the habit of cleaning my brushes every Sunday, so hopefully I’ll remember to do that today. (It’s been like 2 weeks…) What are your favorite things or ways to use to clean your brushes?

So I recently placed an order on Urban Decay because I needed to get a new concealer and I ended up buying on things since they were on sale…. (Ughh!!! I need to stop impulse buying!!! haha) Oh, and I also recently bought some Bliss products last month that I’ve been wanting to share and talk about.

Short story time first. When I was in high school and college, I really liked Urban Decay makeup! I think what I liked about it most was it was one of the few (“affordable”) brands that have crazy bright and bold colors. (That I was aware of…) As I mentioned several times, I love bright colors for makeup!  So I would buy UD eyeshadows and eyeliners as much as I could. (I loved and still love their 24/7 Glide-on eyeliner. The COLORS!!!) After a while though, I just kind of realized that the eyeshadows weren’t all that great formula-wise and I just stopped buying their products… Fast forward to 2016 and I finally started looking at them again because they’ve really grown to a huge product line! (And I just can’t stop looking at the colors whenever passing buy their display!!) Well, I decided it was time to dive back in. Funny thing is, I haven’t picked up a new eyeshadow or eyeliner from them yet. Instead, I’ve been trying out all their other products (have you SEEN the lipsticks?? I really want them all!). I wanted to mention, another reason I decided to go back to UD is because I feel like their formulas have improved so any issues I had before may not be issues anymore – but I still need to confirm my thoughts on this.

I ended up picking up the Eyeshadow Primer Potion Anti-Aging. I use to buy the original one back then but I thought, I’m getting older, I need this extra perk in my primer! haha…

I actually bought 2 because it was on sale. I’m going to see how I like this. I’m not saying I didn’t like the original one, but I found myself not wanting to use it much.

I also picked up the Vice Lipstick Palette… because I’m so into lipsticks right now. I use to never wear lipstick because 1. my lips were always cracked and dry (even when I used chapstick all the time) and 2. I always thought it looked so unnatural one me (no matter what color or shade). Now? Maybe it still looks unnatural on me but I don’t care!!

The case that it is in is AWESOME. It’s almost an inch thick/deep. The lid opens up and there’s a little screen that folder open on the left hand side (you can see the hinges). I think it’s awesome because it protects the mirror on the cover from getting dirty from the lipstick. So there’s 12 shades from left to right starting at the top row: Disturbed, 714, Carnal, Safe Word, Studded, Whip, (bottom row) Wrath, Big Bang, Firebird, Vanity Kills, Speedball, Junkie. And a comes with a lip brush. So some of them are matte lipsticks and some are creamy. Some have glitter in them. I can’t to try these out! Its doesn’t show up well in the picture, but the “Big Bang” looks soooooo pretty. It’s a bright pink with glitter in it!!

And lastly, I got this free sample with my purchase. It’s a deluxe sample of their “Fireball” eyeshadow. I have yet to try this…

Now for the Bliss products, I got the That’s Incredi-‘peel’ glycol resurfacing pads and the Foot Patrol cream.

Foot Patrol – I really like this stuff! I was trying to find a (foot) cream that would be fast absorbing/drying and worked. I love the smell of it… the peppermint… something about minty-ness makes me feel like it working. haha Anyways, it’s thick but not overly thick and feels real good on the skin. I haven’t been using it everyday unfortunately so I can’t say how it’s been working overall, but I think if I remember to do so, it would most likely work well.

That’s incredi-‘peel’ resurfacing pads – I really need to give this a try. I only tried it once but it wasn’t a good time to do it since I had just used my other exfoliator. I like that each pad comes individually packaged so if you really wanted to, you can take some on the go or if you’re spending the night elsewhere.

The whole “spa at home” concept from Bliss just really makes me want to get a facial. Facials are SOOOOOOOOO nice. I love them.

Oh I thought I’d post this too since I had gotten as a gift from Christmas. It’s a Japanese product I use to get my SPF. I like this a lot (my sister got it for me, this is my 2nd bottle – both from her..cuz she knows I like it). It’s super lightweight and doesn’t feel invasive. By invasive I mean, I put on a lot of layers on of stuff on my face (from moisturizer, primer, foundation, etc etc), so I don’t want something that’s heavy. Adding this SPF isn’t a big deal since it’s so light.

Well that’s it for now! I need to get ready to go now!

OH!!! I want to ask.. Please suggest a Toner for me!! I’m looking for new Toners to try and I’d love to know what you like and use! 😀

Happy Sunday!

xoxo
