Allure Beauty Box Nov. 2016 unboxing

Alright! As I said in my last post, I will be reviewing the Allure Beauty Box December November box. I just started this subscription so I will see how I like it.

The items came in a sturdy red box, really cool but a little smaller than I imagined.

Opening it up, there’s a little booklet that gives you information about each product in the box.

RED FLOWER ICELANDIC MOONFLOWER MOISTURIZING BODY LOTION
This lotion is an essential oil blend that includes shea butter and olive fruit oil. You can definitely smell the olive oil kind of scent. I’m not sure what I think about the smell but it’s not a bad smell. You can see and feel the oil but the lotion seems to dry pretty quickly. I’ll have to carry this around with me and see how it really is.
(Pictured on bottom right corner of box in the little lotion bottle with blue print on it.)

BULGARI OMNIA CRYSTALLINE
I do love the packaging of this perfume! Back when I use to work at a department store, I worked right next to the cosmetic department and I would smell all the frangrances all the time. The only thing is, I rarely found any that I liked. In fact, I only found one (**Vera Wang Princess**). I haven’t found any since. Then again, I haven’t checked out fragrances for YEARS so I’m pretty excited to get some fragrance samples in these beauty boxes. I didn’t quite like this one, but it’s definitely my personal preference. I will say that the scent is actually nice, but I just can’t see it working on me. It says that it has “Nashi pear, bamboo, lotus flower, and balsa wood” notes in the booklet from Allure which I do agree.

EYEKO EYE DO LIQUID EYELINER
So this is felt tip liquid eyeliner in black. I accidentaly brushed it on my finger when I opened the cap. It’s a nice dark black and seems to have good precision. It says is waterproof and lash-enchancing. I was able to wipe it off easily with some water though. I’ll have to really try it out and report back. The color is listed as “carbon black”. I love the cute blue packaging/box though!

BONVIVANT BOTANICAL MASK PACK
The mask is supposedly a tissue-thin cloth and lightweight. The ingredients include aloe-lead water which should be hydrating so I’m excited. I like anything with aloe in it! I was excited to get this in the box since I mentioned in my last post that I -finally- was trying a face mask. This mask is from Korea.

EAU THERMALE AVENE HYDRANCE OPTIMALE RICH HYDRATING CREAM
This cute little facial moisturizer sample smells nice, quite subtle. It’s hypoallergenic and has shea butter in it. I haven’t tested it yet but the booklet says it can leave the skin feeling tacky if you use too much. I’m also trying to find really good/nice facial moisturizers since I have sensitive skin and most importantly: DRY SKIN!! So I’m looking forward to trying this out.

KLORANE SHAMPOO WITH ESSENTIAL OLIVE EXTRACT
I’m not really into looking for hair care products (that’s a lie…you just bought a new shampoo yesterday when you saw some good ingredients in it!! Very true….) but this is apparently a volumizing shampoo…. which might actually be nice since my hair is very straight and thin. I might just come to like this shampoo! Anyways, I rarely change up my shampoo because once one works for me, I’ll stick to it. I did use to color my hair ALL the time so it was always important to have a shampoo (and conditioner) that would help keep the color as well as hydrate my hair from all the bleach. I also really like the sample bottle that it’s in (I can’t really say why..).

Overall, I wasn’t sure what to really expect with this box since it was my first one. I did get it during the Black Friday “sale” where the box was only $10. I’ll have get a few more boxes before I can say whether I like this particular subscription box. I know it’s great that these boxes let you sample things before actually purchasing a full size version of it because it might cost $50+ for the actual product, but I really wish to just get the full size version! So I’m happy when I receive a full size product in a box.
*I ended up getting the Allure Beauty Box the day before my Ipsy bag arrived. I was surprised I received the Allure one first!

UPDATE: So I got home today and in my mailbox I saw another package from Allure.. opening it up, another beauty box!! What’s going on??? I did a little searching and it looks like this box is actually the November one. I didn’t know they would send it to me, especially since it’s almost mid December… anyways, a nice surprise! So I will review the December box that I just got today a little later! Also, I will try to add more pictures of each individual product separately.
